Nexteel Co., Ltd. recently established the new pipe production lines at Pohang #2 Plant. New mills produce various steel pipes including mechanical DOM tubes, API Line Pipe and OCTG based on worldwide superior quality control system certified by ISO9001 and API Q1 standards.
One of features at Pohang #2 plant is to produce ultra-heavy wall thickness pipes. We can produce up to 20-26%(t/D). We focus on these products for API pipe and tube and mechanical tubing to substitute seamless with ERW production for better dimensional tolerance in wall thickness and outside diameter.
NEXTEEL CERTIFICATIONS
Nexteel has several features in our equipment’s. First, we apply to new technology "Quick Change System" on 8" line which provides ten times faster than current roll changing system used by most of pipe mills. This provides small quantity production and good productivity for better service and competitiveness.
Secondly, we have a new hydrostatic test equipment to accommodate up to 7,000psi(511bar) test pressure for high quality pipe. Thirdly, we have state of art Off line full body ultrasonic inspection unit and Weld seam ultrasonic inspection unit to satisfy the customer's demand for quality products. Lastly, we apply to auto packing system to expedite our productivity and provide good surface condition.

- 3-Head type hydrostatic tester Measure up to maximum pressure of API Specification. (Capable of 7,260 psi (511bars))
- 4 Seam annealing system Four 500KW annealers guarantee the full heat penetration into weld seam to make welding stress relief perfect.
- Robotic auto bundling system It Maintainins neat and uniformed pipe appearance with maximum production efficiency.
- Quick change system Having 4 additional forming sub-plate bases with stands for quick change.
